I have a favorite bench under a Magnolia tree on campus! It’s very peaceful and a great spot to think, people-watch, or read.
If you attended UNT, why did you decide to attend?
I actually graduated from Texas A&M University with my Bachelor’s degree but spent quite a bit of time at UNT visiting friends. I’m now getting my Master’s Degree at UNT. It’s such a special university with a great student body, tons of diversity and a beautiful campus!

The best resource UNT offers for transfer students is the Transfer Counselors! We visit many community colleges on a regular basis to answer all of your questions about the transfer process. We want to help you in your college journey!
What advice would you give to a community college transfer to UNT?
Let yourself build a home here! If you’re from the area it can be tempting to go home a lot to spend time with family and friends but make sure to get out there, meet new people and find your niche!
What do you enjoy doing when not at work?
I enjoy reading, drinking copious amounts of coffee, visiting the Denton Community Market and spending all of my money at local shops and restaurants. If you live in Denton and don’t try out all of the amazing food this city offers, you’re doing it wrong!
